How to Wear Shimmery Eye Makeup

Sparkle is a makeup staple for party girls and glamorous divas. If you want to keep on top of the trends this fall, follow these suggested guidelines for shimmering eyes.
If you are an "it" girl who prefers to catch up on beauty sleep rather than staying up with the night owls, simply modify the steps for a daytime version of this look.

Instructions
o 1
Prep your eyes for color with foundation and eye makeup primer.

o 2
Stipple a loose, shimmery sparkle eyeshadow on the eyelids from the lash line to slightly past the crease. Use a fall-friendly color,

such as a berry tone, applied with an eyeshadow brush with a small flat head. The stippling motion combined with this brush deposits more color onto the skin and prevents product fallout. Bump up the color intensity by applying the shadow wet.

o 3
Dampen a fine angled eyeliner brush and dip it into the sparkle shadow. Tap off any excess shadow. Run the brush along your lower lash lines to balance out the color between the top and bottom eyelids.

o 4
Define the top lash lines with black to contrast against the vivid color of your eyeshadow. You can use a creamy,

highly pigmented pencil worked in between lashes for minimal and natural-looking definition. For more drama, try a liquid eyeliner winged at the ends.

As metallic textures are in style for fall, you may use a metallic black liquid liner if you prefer.
o 5
Curl your lashes and run thickening black mascara through them to make your eyes stand out. If you will be partying and dancing the night away, make sure you use a waterproof formula. Pat concealer under the eye to get rid of unflattering dark circles and

any smudges caused by wet mascara. Dust translucent powder over the concealer to set in place.

Tips & Warnings

•Tone down your look by using a sheer wash of finely milled shimmer eyeshadow instead of a sparkle dust. This results in eye makeup you can wear everyday.
